Are you dealing with relationship or work issues, past trauma, divorce, grief or loss? Are you feeling stuck, frustrated or not living your optimal life? I am an "in the trenches" therapist - highly empathic, present, listening, responding. I believe we naturally seek to grow and to heal, and a therapist is a collaborator in that process.
I specialize in people who suffer losses - relationships, work problems, family conflict, grief, infertility, and divorce. These often result in people feeling overwhelmingly sad or anxious, and struggling to manage day-to-day life. I am certified in EMDR therapy which is a highly successful treatment for anxiety, depression and traumas both big and small. Being certified means I am recognized by EMDRIA.org as a highly trained professional in this type of therapy. I am LGBT-friendly, and experienced in working with individuals who have experienced societal discrimination.
As well as doing individual therapy, I also offer couples counseling in which I help couples improve empathy, understanding and communication, as well as overcome relationship difficulties such as infidelity, conflict over parenting, in-laws, loss of sexual intimacy and other marital stressors.
My office is in Brooklyn Heights and convenient for the 2,3, 4, 5, A, C, F and R trains. During COVID-19 I am doing therapy via online using the Simple Practice platform.
